Union launches SAFER: a safe stadium for all supporters

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is taking the lead in Belgium with an innovative project to make the Joseph Marien Stadium safer and more inclusive for everyone, with female supporters in particular. With concrete actions, the club aims to respond to past incidents and set a new standard for the future of football safety. Call: Who were our heroes of the cooperative and Union's rescue?

On Friday 15 October 1976, Union was declared bankrupt. Fans set up a cooperative that would eventually save Union and its 'matricule' 10. There were hundreds of fans who invested to save the club. The minimum amount to join the cooperative at the time was 1,000 francs. Union is now 48 years later looking for more information about those investors. Please note: support cards of 20 francs do not count as shares.

Pre-game show & mobility for Union-AS Roma

This Thursday, Union takes on AS Roma at the King Baudouin Stadium, kick-off at 6.45pm. The STIB will not go on strike, so lines 2 and 6 will still remain functional for Unionists wishing to travel to the stadium by public transport. Despite the early kick-off, we advise our fans to make their way to the stadium as early as possible to avoid traffic jams, and to enjoy the pre-game show by artists Johnson Righeira and Yellowstraps.

Union closes 2024 financial year with fine profit

Union Saint-Gilloise closed the 2023-2024 financial year with a profit (before tax) of €18 million. This profit can be explained by the club's excellent sporting results such as winning the Croky Cup as well as repeated participation in European competitions and its balanced transfer policy. In addition, the club continues to pay close attention to sustainability, managing its costs and targeted investments.
