Union is looking for a part-time greenkeeper

The Greenkeeper is responsible for the maintenance, preparation, and optimisation of the Club's and its Academy's training pitches, ensuring the highest possible playing conditions for players and coaching staff. The Greenkeeper works before and after training sessions and in close coordination with the sporting staff. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Ensure regular mowing, watering, fertilization, and application of specific turf care treatments. 

  • Identify signs of turf stress or deterioration and implement the necessary corrective actions. 

  • Maintain the immediate surroundings of the pitches (technical areas, access paths, etc.). 

  • Prepare the pitches before sessions (line marking, checking turf uniformity, cleaning, etc.). 

  • Carry out post-session restoration (repairing divots, targeted watering, rolling, etc.). 

  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment (mowers, tractors, turf care tools, etc.). 

  • Provide real-time updates on pitch conditions and planned or ongoing maintenance work. 

  • Strictly adhere to safety regulations, especially when handling products or machinery. 

 

Profile: 

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a football club or sports facility. 

  • Proficiency in sports turf maintenance techniques, especially on natural grass pitches. 

  • Ability to plan and adapt to the constraints of a busy sports calendar. 

  • Precision, responsiveness, and autonomy. 

  • Discretion, punctuality, availability (working hours may vary depending on sessions). 

  • Team spirit and service-oriented mindset.
