Union is looking for a Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO)
The Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) is a key link between the club (management, staff, and players) and its supporters. As an ambassador of the club, he/she is responsible for the quality and further development of the relationship with supporters. He/she adopts a diplomatic approach and can communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our supporters: who they are, what drives them, and what their needs and expectations are.
- Build a strong and lasting relationship of trust between the club and its supporters.
- Organize regular meetings with supporters’ clubs.
- Maintain direct and regular contact with the club’s CEO.
- Ensure smooth collaboration and communication with the club’s various operational and commercial departments, especially on matchdays.
- Stay informed about supporters’ concerns and take an active role in addressing them.
- Provide supporters with accurate and timely information about home and away matches (league, Belgian Cup, and European competitions) and respond to their questions.
- Be present on matchdays and actively engage with supporters across different locations.
- Ensure open and transparent communication with supporters, including during periods of tension or dissatisfaction.
- Maintain contact with other SLOs in Belgium and with European opponents.
- Participate in training sessions organized by relevant football and administrative bodies, such as the UEFA and the RBFA.
- Contribute to and help structure supporter initiatives, including those related to the new stadium project and social initiatives.
Profile
- You are bilingual (spoken and written) and also have a good command of English;
- You have a strong interest in football and a clear affinity with our club;
- You are a strong and professional communicator;
- You are well organized and able to manage priorities effectively.
