Union is looking for a Head of Union Inspires

As Head of Union Inspires, you play a central role in shaping, implementing and leading the Club’s sustainability initiatives, ensuring their consistency, measurable impact and ownership across all internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

 

· Lead the Union Inspires Strategy

 

o You are responsible for defining, coordinating and implementing the environmental and social strategy of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

o Working closely with the CEO, you will develop an ambitious and coherent vision that reflects the Club’s values and DNA while ensuring its integration into the Club’s overall strategy.

 

· Lead the Union Inspires Team

 

o Define, structure and coordinate the shared objectives of the Union Inspires teams, ensuring alignment with both the department’s strategy and the Club’s overall strategic objectives.

o Develop a roadmap for the Union Inspires team, including clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs) and a structured timeline, in line with the requirements of governing bodies (Pro League, UEFA, B Corp, etc.).

 

· Overall Responsibility for Social and Environmental Projects

 

o Identify, assess and manage the environmental and social risks associated with the Club’s activities, and implement appropriate prevention and mitigation measures.

o Oversee all of the Club’s environmental and social projects, particularly those related to matches and events (waste management, sustainable mobility, inclusion, accessibility, etc.), ensuring effective coordination and accountability for results.

 

· Overall Responsibility for Reporting and Partnerships

 

o Develop governance tools and structured reporting methodologies to ensure regular and meaningful reporting to the CEO, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.

o Further develop the Union Inspires brand and identify relevant go-to-market opportunities.

o Identify and map key stakeholders, and strengthen their engagement through targeted communication and awareness initiatives.

o In collaboration with the CCO, develop strategic partnerships with purpose-driven organisations (non-profit organisations, companies and institutions) and integrate these partnerships into the commercial calendar.

 

· Profile

 

o Proven experience in developing and implementing ESG/CSR strategies within an organisation.

o Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.

o Strong analytical skills, particularly in data management and reporting.

o Excellent communication and training/facilitation skills.

o A proactive mindset, strong leadership abilities and the capacity to drive organisational change.

o Experience managing a team of four people.

o Fluent in both French and Dutch.
