Our Unionists could not count on the suspended Zorgane, Mac Allister and Burgess. They were replaced by Schoofs, Sylla and Leysen. Biondic opened the scoring early on. A few minutes later, Scherpen denied Van Brederode the equaliser. After the break, Ait El Hadj and substitute Fuseini sealed the win: 3-0.

Union Academy is recruiting full-time 11v11 coaches
Union Academy continues to invest in its future. Over the past year, the club has made significant progress in strengthening its development structures and infrastructure. As part of this ambition, the Academy is now taking the next step by further professionalizing its youth development programme. We are therefore looking to appoint full-time coaches for the following age groups: U13, U14, U15, U16 and U18.

Ten-man Union bow in extremis to a late penalty
Sint-Truiden dominated from kick-off and put Union under pressure early on. After fifteen minutes, Mac Allister was shown a red card and the Brusselers had to defend with ten men for the remainder of the match. They held firm for long periods but eventually conceded the opener in the 86th minute. Rodriguez pulled one back to level, but Ito settled the match from the penalty spot.

Union beat ten-man Anderlecht in Brussels derby
Union Saint-Gilloise claimed a 1-3 away victory at Anderlecht. Zorgane put the Unionists in control with a brace, but Cvetkovic pulled one back to keep Anderlecht in the game. After Sardella's red card for a headbutt on Guilherme, it was that same Guilherme who sealed the win in the second half.

Union Saint-Gilloise and Irish sports brand O'Neills are joining forces for the next three seasons, with an option for a further season. For O'Neills, Union is their first overseas partnership with a top-flight football club. The shared goal is to promote the quality of the brand and support local football clubs. At the Dudenpark, our Unionists were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against KAA Gent. The first half was an evenly contested affair, but despite dominating the second period, Union could not find the breakthrough.

Union deserve victory over Club Brugge and open up four-point lead at the top
In a crucial top-of-the-table clash against Club Brugge, Union claimed a deserved 2-1 home victory. Club Brugge took the lead through a Mechele header, before Biondic levelled and second-half substitute Zeneli struck the winner.

Union secured their second win of the Champions’ Play-offs with a narrow victory over KV Mechelen. Just before half-time, Sykes fired our Unionists ahead (0-1).

Union kick off play-offs with important win against Sint-Truiden
Union won the opening match of the play-offs. A deflected cross from Guilherme Smith broke the deadlock in the second half, and despite a nervy final quarter of an hour, the Brussels side held on against Sint-Truiden: 1-0. A good start of the Champions’ Play-offs.
