After two seasons with Union, Henok heads to Leuven. The winger leaves the club on a permanent basis. During his time at Union, Henok was slowed down by injuries, but he still showed flashes of his exceptional talent.

Dutch second-division side Roda JC visited the Marienstadion on Tuesday afternoon. A mix of first-team and U23 players claimed a 7-1 victory over the team from Kerkrade. The Union goals were scored by Schoofs (2), Guilherme (2), Patris, Rasmussen and Asri.

Belgian-Dutch midfielder Ivan Pavlić (23) leaves Paços Ferreira to join the Duden Park. After a season in Portugal’s second division, he signs with Union Saint-Gilloise through 2029.

During this international break, several of our players have been called up by their national teams. Some are participating in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while others are involved in friendly matches.

Here is the updated calendar through Matchday 20, including Champions League fixtures. Key matches to note include the clash against Club Brugge on Sunday, October 5 at 6:30 PM, the return leg of the derby against Anderlecht on Sunday, November 30, and of course, our Champions League matches.

Patris (24) joins from STVV and signs at Union until 2029 (+ a 1 year option). He spent the 2024-25 season at Sint-Truiden, after previously playing for Anderlecht and OH Leuven. 

Union strengthens its midfield by signing the former KV Mechelen captain, under contract until 2028. With over 100 decisive contributions in his career, the central midfielder now dons the yellow and blue jersey.

Union were eager to bounce back after last week’s draw against La Louvière. In the Brussels derby, the Unionists struck early through a penalty. Anderlecht threatened several times but couldn’t find the net. After the break, Anderlecht was reduced to nine men within two minutes. Eventually, David sealed the victory with a late strike to make it 2-0.
