Union Saint-Gilloise and Sofiane Boufal have decided, by mutual agreement, to terminate the contract that bound them until June 2026, with immediate effect. Sofiane Boufal is now free of any contractual obligation.

Centre-forward Mateo Biondic is 22 years old, stands 1.90m tall and joins from German fourth-division side SV Eintracht Trier. With the club from the Moselle city, he recorded 7 goals and 5 assists in 17 matches during the first half of the season. Biondic has signed a contract with Union until June 2030.

Union failed to close out 2025 with a victory. Away at Cercle Brugge, the match remained evenly balanced for long spells, with both sides creating chances. After two goals in the first half, the tempo dropped. Both teams were eventually reduced to ten men, and neither managed to find a winning goal. The match ended 1-1.

After taking just two points from their previous three matches, Union bounced back with a 2-0 home victory against Zulte Waregem. The visitors created the better chances in the first half, but Promise David put the Brussels side ahead with a header. After the break, Union took control and Khalaili sealed the win.

The open ticket sale for our match on Saturday against Zulte Waregem 20/12 at 8:45 PM starts tomorrow 18/12 at 11 AM and ends on Friday at 6 PM. This means that fans without a purchase history can also buy tickets starting tomorrow. Fans with a purchase history can already buy their ticket on ticketing.rusg.brussels.

Union picked up a point on the road at Charleroi. Our Unionists took a deserved lead in the 40th minute and held firm for a long time. In the second half, the home side pushed forward, but in the very final moments, a VAR intervention ensured we returned home with a point.

Union will play the cup quarter-final on Wednesday evening, 14/01, at 8:30 PM. The remaining league fixtures have also been announced, with four home matches (KV Mechelen, Antwerp, Genk and Dender) on Saturday, and two home matches on Sunday (Club Bruges and La Louvière).
