Who we are
In 2018, Union took the key step of establishing the Union Foundation, to formalise and enhance its community engagement. In 2022, this evolved into Union Inspires, representing a unified approach that integrates both social and environmental objectives.

The importance of Union Inspires

Mission
To inspire our fans with sporting success on the pitch, our connection to the community and a strive to sustainability both financially and ecologically.
Vision
As the most watched and played sport in the world, football has the power to be a great example for the wide public that follows the sport. We aim to use this potential to have a positive impact on our communities and environment.
Values
Three core values are at the heart of our approach :
- Commitment, to inspire and lead by example.
- Sustainability, environmental and social, as well as financial.
- Diversity, a source of mutual enrichment.
Our contribution to the United Nation’s SDGs.
We believe meaningful change begins with commitment, thrives through sustainability, and flourishes with diversity. That’s why we work to build a more equitable, resilient future, leading by example, championing progress, and celebrating inclusion. Through sport and community, we fight hunger, promote health and education, advance gender equality, and foster sustainable, inclusive communities, proudly supporting the UN’s 2030 Agenda and thirteen key Sustainable Development Goals.

No Black Friday at Union
This year, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is strengthening its commitment to more responsible consumption. In line with our sustainable approach, we have decided not to take part in Black Friday in order to limit overconsumption and stay true to our values. Instead, we will support Les Petits Riens by donating a share of the merchandising sales from the week of the 24th of November. Fans will be also able to give a second life to their clothes before the game against Cercle Brugge (22/11) and during the week of the 24th of November.

Once again this season, we’re striving for a SAFER stadium
Last season, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise took the lead as the first Belgian club to launch the SAFER project. The goal? To create a stadium where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected. We want to build a warm, inclusive environment where football brings people together.
