Union is looking for a Chief Commercial Officer

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is looking for a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to develop the club's commercial strategy.

Job Description

 

The Chief Commercial Officer is responsible for the club’s strategic vision in terms of commercial development. They lead and optimize all activities related to communication, marketing, merchandising, ticketing, and partnerships.

 

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Design and implement a long-term growth plan aligned with the club’s vision.
  • Ensure cohesion and alignment among various teams (marketing, sales, communication, ticketing, and merchandising) around a shared vision.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to adapt the club’s commercial strategy accordingly.
  • Integrate innovative approaches and solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, media, and the club’s strategic stakeholders.
  • Leverage the club’s marketing assets to maximize sponsorship opportunities.
  • Define new business models for merchandising and ticketing.
  • Optimize marketing investments to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Use digital platforms to grow the fanbase.
  • Positioning the club as a benchmark in fan experience and innovation.
  • Strengthening the club’s content strategy and digital presence to maximize visibility and engagement.

 

 

Profile

 

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and unite different departments around a common strategy.
  • Change management skills and the ability to structure a rapidly growing organization.
  • Capacity to make strategic decisions based on data and business insights.
  • Innovative mindset to develop new fan experiences and maximize revenue.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Ability to represent the club at events and maintain a network of influential contacts.
  • Proven experience in commercial, communication, and marketing roles.
  • Knowledge of the football and sports business industry is an asset.
  • Experience managing international partnerships and innovative projects.
  • Fluency in Dutch and French; English is a plus.
