Makate joined the first team this summer from our U23 side. He will spend the second half of the 2025–2026 season on loan at RAAL La Louvière. There, Cristian will be looking for more playing time as he continues his development.

Union grind out nervy draw at OH Leuven
Union Saint-Gilloise were held to a goalless draw away at OH Leuven after a largely uneventful encounter. The visitors looked to make the difference in the first half but failed to register a single shot on target. After the break, the home side took control and regularly put the Brussels defence under pressure, but goalkeeper Scherpen ensured Union came away with a point.
