Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and the Brussels Bouwmeester / Maître Architecte (chief architect) today jointly launched an open architecture competition. Its aim is to appoint a co-designer for the integration of Union's future football stadium into its surroundings at the Bempt site in Forest. A first, as it is the first time a public design competition related to the development of a football stadium has been launched in Belgium. Candidates can present their design until 6 November 2023. A first update of our internationals! The most notable Union international was Kevin Rodriguez. He scored his first goal for Ecuador deep into added time, securing three important points against Bolivia.

Union will take on RFC Meux in the Round of 32 of the Belgian Cup. The match will take place at the Joseph Marien Stadium on Wednesday 1 November at 3pm. Eckert-Ayensa made his comeback in a behind-closed-doors friendly against FC Twente at the Marien Stadium. FC Twente, third in the Eredivisie, showed their stregths during their game at the Parc Duden. Union fielded a mix of players from the first team and U23, but lost 1-4.
