Union wins friendly match against SK Beveren
Our Unionists claimed a convincing win today in a friendly against SK Beveren. The match, played behind closed doors at our new training centre, ended in a clear 6-0 victory.
Goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen made his first appearance and immediately impressed with a fine save following a corner. In the 21st minute, Zorgane opened the scoring (1-0), soon followed by a second goal from Boufal. Florucz came close to a third, but his shot went just wide.
After the break, Union continued to dominate. Giger scored the 3-0, Zorgane added his second of the day to make it 4-0, and Giger found the net twice more to seal the 6-0 final score.
