Union wins the derby!

Union wins derby in dying minutes - what an incredible feeling! This long-awaited derby lived up to all the promises in terms of spectacle, with Union leading at the start of the game and then trailing, but eventually winning thanks to a Loïc Lapoussin goal in the 90th minute!

The first 10 minutes of the derby were fairly chanceless. When those 10 minutes were over, it was Nilsson who went deep, took Lazare's pass and lobbed it past the goalkeeper. 0-1.

In the 18th minute, Castro-Montes scored, but his goal was disallowed for offside. But it was none other than Amoura who scored the second goal in the 32nd with a curling shot after a little hook to open his foot! 0-2 Union set the match on fire.

Then Molenbeek decided to come back in an impressive manner and scored 2 goals in quick succession. 2-2.

We have to win the derby!

After the break, Union were more impactful in duels, with Nilsson (48th) and Mac Allister (55th) both receiving yellow cards.

Union fought and tried while the RWDM retreated and tried to catch us on the counter until the 90th. The rest is history.

Kevin Rodriguez got hold of the ball on the left, dribbled, accelerated, got into the box, played a back pass and Loïc Lapoussin, oooooh Loïc, fired a shot into the far corner of the net. Union win the derby 2-3.

Brussels is yellow and blue! We look forward to seeing you at home against Charleroi this Sunday to celebrate.
