Union take 4 out of 6 in double clash with Club Brugge
The centrepiece of the 2024-2025 Champions’ Play-offs was a double encounter with Bruges. Union won on Thursday at Jan Breydel and held Bruges to a draw on Sunday at the Duden Park (0-0). This Saturday, Genk are coming to the Duden Park!
Club Brugge dominated possession early on. Union stayed compact and organised. Before the 15-minute mark, Talbi had a golden chance to open the scoring for the visitors, but Machida made a sublime goal-line clearance.
At the other end, Sadiki set up Promise David for Union’s best chance. Tobi burst past everyone but fired wide.
After the break, the score remained unchanged, although Moris had to step in and Talbi missed the rebound.
16 out of 18 for Union. On to Matchday 7: Union vs. Genk, this Saturday night at the Marien Stadium!
