Union steps up its efforts in women's and youth development

In recent years, our club has made remarkable progress on the sporting front. But off the field, the club’s development is also moving forward. In addition to the stadium project and the search for a training center closer to the capital, the advancement of our youth and women’s programs is a key priority.

The club is allocating a budget to build a state-of-the-art sports center that meets all the requirements for developing our elite youth players, training them to become the stars of tomorrow.

Currently, our youth program consists of regional teams (Iris competition) and elite teams (Pro League). Starting next season, Union will focus exclusively on Elite youth and women’s football.

Regarding Iris football, Union aims to establish partnerships with local clubs to maintain and even strengthen connections with local talent.

Renaud Bontyès, General Manager Union Academy:

Through these partnerships, we want to reach far more young players than we do today. We don’t want to compete with local clubs; we want to be their best partner. They are the foundation of football and an indispensable link in our beautiful sport. Additionally, we want to ensure that all the children currently registered with us can continue practicing their favorite hobby with a partner club in their area.

Union is currently in talks with various locations for the academy and hopes to share more news on this soon.
