Union seeks sports doctor for Union Academy
Royale Union Saint-Gilloise Youth School is looking for a Sports Doctor to join its medical team.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Medical Permanence:
Provide medical consultations for Union Academy players and players every Wednesday from 3.30 pm to around 8 pm. When two doctors are present, the permanence is arranged by mutual agreement.
- Private consultations:
Prioritise private consultations for youth school players and players.
- Attendance at Matches:
Attendance at home matches of the U21 teams (Friday night) and U23 teams (Saturday night) on the bench. If two doctors attend, attendance will be arranged by mutual agreement.
- Management of Medical Files:
Keeping the medical records of Union Academy players and players up-to-date
- Follow-up of Injuries:
Following up injured players and setting up treatments in collaboration with Union Academy physiotherapists.
- Teamwork:
Close cooperation with the physiotherapists of the Academy, under the supervision of the chief medical officer.
Profile:
Qualifications:
Diploma in Medicine with a specialisation in Sports Medicine.
A certificate in ECG interpretation is a plus.- Location:
Preferably a private practice near the Union Academy in Anderlecht, near the Erasmus Hospital.
- Experience:
Experience in medical football is a plus.
- Skills and attributes:
Team spirit and desire to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Respect for hierarchy.
