Union seeks new members for its advisory board
Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is a Brussels-based football club headquartered in Forest. The club also wants to continue its growth off the pitch and is therefore looking for advisers for its Board of Directors. Those advisers will sit on an advisory board.
Duties and responsibilities
Your mission is to promote Union in the local community and guide, support and advise the club's board on specific topics. Both in terms of strategy, the direction to be taken and the current state of various departments within the club.
Profile
We are looking for motivated advisers to assist the board in all areas, but for the following areas we have no advisers on board today: ticketing, sponsorship and community working. These advisers should preferably be from Brussels because of our strong local roots and also have strong moral and ethical principles in line with those of the club. A critical but open mind is a must as well as a solid portion of enthusiasm to take the club to the next level.
What do we expect from you? And what do you get in return?
As an advisor to our advisory board, you will attend the 3-yearly advisory meetings together with the members of the board. There, you will be asked to give your (domain-specific) advice on the proposed info and reports and general input on the other domains. As an advisor, you have no formal position within the club and therefore bear no responsibility over the day-to-day running of the club, nor are you liable for advice provided.
We are looking for motivated advisors who want to put their knowledge and experience at the disposal of our beautiful club. You will receive regular invitations to attend matches and other club activities.
Diversity
As a club, we highly value diversity. We are in a diverse and multicultural environment and would like to see this reflected in our advisory board. We are convinced that more diversity will lead to a better reflection of our reality and to better decision-making.
Brussels and our municipalities of Saint-Gilles and Forest are diverse and multicultural. Our ambition is to grow our constituency by opening up to everyone and thus our diverse city. Diversity should run throughout our club and be recognisable. And that's why we want to start at the top of our structure.
