Union secures striker Kevin Rodriguez
The Ecuadorian striker (23) comes over from first division side Independiente del Valle, where he had been playing since January. Before that, he played at Imbabura SC, the club he also played as an academy player. Rodriguez also took part in the 2022 World Cup with Ecuador's national team. He signs a four-year contract at the Parc Duden, including an option to extend for an additional season.
Kevin Rodriguez is a striker measuring 1m90. At Imbabura SC in the second division, he made an immediate impact, leading to him being called up for the Ecuador national team and even making it to coach Gustavo Alfaro's World Cup squad.
In January this year, he joined first division side Independiente del Valle, where he scored five goals in 25 matches and gave one assist. He also scored once in the Copa Libertadores.
Rodriguez signs until 2027, including an option for an additional season.
