Union plays Europa League this season
After another defeat against Slavia Prague in third qualification round of the Champions League (0-1), Union will enter the new League Phase of the Europa League.
Three defeats in a row it is now. After the non-match in ‘t Kuipje last Saturday (4-3 loss against Westerlo), Union went down for the second time in the double confrontation with Slavia Prague. It was 0-1 at the Anderlecht Stadium.
Our Unionists gave their best, but quality was lacking. Barely one good chance, Promise David's header. And at the other end, the Czechs snuffed out the light about five minutes before the end with the 0-1.
We will play eight matches in that revamped Europa League. The draw will take place on 30 August. Here are the dates:
