Union meets Slavia Prague in third qualifying round UEFA Champions League
UPDATE: The draw for the third preliminary round of the Champions League was held in Nyon, Switzerland. Union will play against Slavia Prague, second in the Czech league last season. The first leg will take place on 7th of August in Prague. The second leg on the 13th of August at the Anderlecht Stadium.
We will play the home match at the Lotto Park (Anderlecht Stadium for UEFA matches). At the King Baudouin Stadium, where we will play our remaining European home games, the pitch is not ready yet for the moment. We thank Anderlecht for this solution.
The club will communicate ticket prices for the home and away matches as soon as possible, following contact with Slavia Prague.
Slavia Prague finished in second place last season, two points behind city rival Sparta Prague. As recently as 2022, Slavia played the quarter-finals of the Conference League. It lost against Feyenoord. Last season, the Czech Republic's oldest team went out against AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16.
If we can qualify against Slavia, our possible opponents are Lille, Fenerbahçe, Lugano, Salzburg or Twente. That draw already takes place on 5 August, before the first game against Slavia Prague.
Kick-off times and ticket info are yet to be confirmed.
