Union is looking for a Press & Communications Officer with a passion for sport and communication. Together with the Head of Communications, he/she/they will play a key role in media relations and content creation. Applications can be sent to job@rusg.be.

Description

 

The Press & Communications Officer, reporting directly to the Head of Communications, is responsible for managing media relations and producing content for all of the club’s communication platforms. He/she contributes to strengthening the club’s image and visibility, while ensuring message consistency and respect for the club’s identity.

 

 

Responsibilities and tasks

 

• Support the club in press and media relations for the First Team and U23.
• Assist in the organisation of press conferences.
• Assist in the organisation of European press trips.
• Coordinate the scheduling of interviews.
• Follow up on requests from the different internal departments, coordinate tasks within the team, and ensure their proper execution.
• Manage and update the websites rusg.brussels and ticketing.rusg.brussels on a daily basis.
• Contribute to the monitoring and implementation of the editorial calendar in collaboration with the club’s content creators.
• Regularly propose creative concepts in line with the club’s identity and communication style.
• Oversee the production and distribution of content on First Team match days, ensuring full coverage, including press questions and post-match follow-up on our channels.

 

 

Skills and requirements

 

• Excellent writing skills and flawless spelling in French and Dutch.
• Strong knowledge of social media and good command of content management tools (Adobe suite, etc.).
• Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong sense of priorities.
• Creativity and initiative to propose original content.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments.
• Perfect command of Dutch and French is essential; good knowledge of English is an asset.

 

 

Profile

 

• Previous experience in communication, press, or media, ideally in sports.
• Flexibility to work during matches and Club events.
