Union is looking for a merchandising assistant

Union is looking to strengthen its merchandising department.

Main Mission


The Merchandising Assistant manages the sales outlets. They ensure supporter satisfaction by offering high-quality products and an optimal shopping experience.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure effective management and visual presentation of both physical stores and the online shop.
  • Responsible for receiving, checking, labelling, and storing merchandise.
  • Enter this data accurately into the stock management system.
  • Oversee store displays and replenishment to ensure smooth operations and continuous sales.
  • Organise and support sales operations on matchdays.
  • Act as the link between the physical store and the webshop.
  • Assist supporters/customers throughout the purchasing process.
  • Manage inventory between the fanshop and the webshop, and handle orders.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Support marketing campaigns and promote products during key events.
  • Contribute to the development and management of digital tools related to sales (POS systems, management software, etc.).
  • Assist the Merchandising Manager with daily tasks and department-related projects.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Experience in merchandising, ideally within the sports industry.
  • Skills in sales analysis and customer service.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities (internally and externally).
  • Creative, organised, detail-oriented, autonomous, flexible, commercially minded, and passionate about football.
  • Fluent in Dutch, with a good command of French and strong English skills.
