Union comes back and makes it 6 wins in a row
Thanks to a strong second half, the Unionists took the three points at 't Kuipje. It was 1-3 through goals from Lapoussin, a lovely blast, Eckert Ayensa and the inevitable Amoura. Union remain leaders of the Jupiler Pro League.
Looking for a sixth win in a row, Eckert Ayensa came into the squad, as a result Amoura was rested, as was Lazare. Rasmussen and Sadiki played in the square in midfield. And that was necessary, because it was quite rough on the Kempen ground of 't Kuipje.
Union started well, but still let themselves be caught on the home team's first best counter. Daci popped Westerlo into the lead, the ball deflected off Castro-Montes and under Moris disappeared into the goal.

Lapouss'!
But Lapoussin's shot some five minutes later, Bolat had no recourse against that. A corner kicked away was controlled by our winger, set up on his right and shot in the top corner! Lapoussin makes it level!
The break pleased the Unionists and those of Westerlo a little less. For Union were higher up, sharper and ultimately more efficient. And when you say efficiency, you say Dennis Eckert Ayensa. A Castro-Montes cross was hit with the head by Lapoussin and landed on the nod of Dennis, who dropped it delightfully into the far corner.

Union dominant
After Union took the lead, Westerlo was unable to come back. And the substitute Amoura ran riot. He kicked the ball against the bar and Eckert Ayensa pounced on Bolat in the recovery. But on minute 87, it was time for Amoura, once again. A ball recuperation from Puertas, assist from Kabangu (also subbed in) and Amoura who lobbed nicely over Bolat.
The score could have gone up further, but it remained 1-3. Union takes 18 on 18 and remains top of the league. On Wednesday, Meux visits for the Marien for some Croky Cup action in the Round of 32, tickets are still on sale via ticketing.rusg.brussels. Next Sunday's match against Club Brugge at the Marien Stadium is already sold out.
