Union Academy is looking for a Physiotherapist

La Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is looking for a physiotherapist for its youth academy.

Job Description


As part of the medical follow-up of the Union Academy, the physiotherapist will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensuring a medical presence at the site of the girls’ section of the youth academy in Drogenbos every Thursday and Friday from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM during training sessions.


This presence includes:

  • Welcoming and first contact with the players

  • Treating injuries

  • Functional rehabilitation


This duty will be carried out by two physiotherapists working in close collaboration.

  • Being present on the bench during matches of the U13 boys’ team, both at home games (Corneille Barca Sports Complex in Anderlecht) and away matches.

  • Giving priority to players and players of the Academy in their private practice.

  • Maintaining and updating the medical records of the academy players.

  • Monitoring injured players and implementing the necessary treatments in collaboration with the doctors and other physiotherapists of the Union Academy.

  • Working closely with the technical staff and physiotherapists, under the supervision of the academy doctors, within a multidisciplinary approach.

 

Profile Sought

 

  • Degree in Physiotherapy, preferably with a specialization or training in sports physiotherapy

  • Additional skills such as manual therapy, osteopathy, dry needling, etc. are a plus

  • Preferably having a private practice near:

    • the girls’ section in Drogenbos and/or

    • the boys’ section in Anderlecht (near Erasmus Hospital)

  • Experience in football or elite sports is a plus

  • Team spirit, collaboration skills, and interest in working in a multidisciplinary environment

  • Flexibility and availability
