Swiss forward Marc Giger joins Union
Giger (20) played for Swiss second-division side FC Schaffhausen and will immediately join coach Pocognoli’s squad and staff. He has signed a contract until June 2029.
Marc Giger was developed at Grasshopper Club Zürich and played his first senior matches in the fourth and third divisions at the age of 18.
From FC Paradiso, he moved to second-tier Schaffhausen in January 2024, making 17 appearances in his first half-season. In the first half of this season’s Challenger League, he stood out with his physical strength and strong technical abilities. He scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists in 18 official matches.
