The squad for Club Brugge - Union
Twenty players head to Jan Breydel on Boxing Day and matchday 20. The Pro League leaders will be hosted there by Club Brugge. Nilsson and Rasmussen return to the squad. Teklab, François and Leysen were not selected.
Club Brugge are currently fourth and have recently moved up the standings with some strong performances. It is up to our Unionists to repeat the trick from the first round (2-1 win). The 'topper' will kick off at 20h45 at Jan Breydel.
Coach Alexander Blessin:
Only having two days between games isn’t an excuse. We’re used to the tempo. Bruges has found its structure and now has a series of unbeaten games. So it will be a battle because they will do everything to keep the points at home. But we know how to beat them, We showed that during our previous confrontation at the Marien. For me it’s about making progress and my team’s development. We must show the right attitude to win games. And that’s what we aim to do tomorrow.
