Sixth 0-0 of the season in Bruges

A lackluster performance from Union at the Jan Breydel Stadium, and a 0-0 result that we should count ourselves lucky to take home.

In the first half, Union struggled to get a foothold. Cercle deserved the lead, but Moris and Mac Allister (on the line) kept it level.

On the other side, Rasmussen had a chance but missed the target, and later forced the Cercle goalkeeper into a double save.

0-0 at halftime, a flattering result for Union.

After the break, the visitors showed improvement. Vanhoutte hit the side netting.

In the 70th minute, Magnée was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on Khalaili, leaving Cercle down to 10 men.

Those expecting Union to create chances were left disappointed. Ivanović showed some flair but failed to produce a shot that troubled the keeper.

0-0 it is, the sixth of the season—a letdown after three strong performances. On to Thursday and the Europa League clash against Nice.
