Results for the Union internationals for November 2023
On Friday, our seven internationals are back on the training pitch to prepare for this weekend's clash against KAA Gent.
Mohammed Amoura grabbed 6 out of 6 points with Algeria in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. In a 3-1 win against Somalia he played one half. A few days later, he replaced the injured Slimani early in the first half in Mozambique.
With an assist and also a shot against the crossbar that resulted in a goal, Amoura was voted man of the match.
Koki Machida also won twice with Japan in his World Cup qualification group. Against Myanmar (5-0 win), he played 90 minutes; against Syria (0-5 win), he played the final 15 minutes.
A first for Lapouss
Anthony Moris also joins the 6-out-of-6 club ahead of qualification for the 2024 European Championship in Germany. Moris' Luxembourgers finish third in their group, but they can still get to the Euros through the Nations League Play-offs.
Loïc Lapoussin scored his first goal for Madagascar. However, his team had mixed success. Against Ghana they lost narrowly (0-1), in which Loïc played an hour. In and against Chad, he played the whole 90 minutes and scored the goal that made it 0-3!
Our third goalkeeper Maxime Wenssens had a successful start to the World Cup qualifying campaign with Rwanda. With 4 out of 6 points against Zimbabwe (0-0) and South Africa (2-0). Rwanda is currently the leader of its group.

U21
Let's talk about our U21 internationals. Young Red Devil Fedde Leysen played 90 minutes against Scotland, unfortunately losing 0-2. Against Spain it was 1-1 a couple of days later. Fedde stayed on the bench in that second match. The U21s' Euros is still possible for our Devils after 5 out of 10 matches and a third place in the group.
Casper Terho also still has a chance at the U21 Euros tournament with Finland. Cassu played half an hour in the 6-0 win against Armenia. Finland is fourth in its group.
And Arnaud Dony (on loan to Dender) played 90 minutes as captain with our U20 Devils against France. It ended 2-2.
