Nikki Havenaar is our first summer signing
The 31-year-old Japanese player of Dutch descent joins from Austrian club SV Ried and signs a contract until 2029 at the Duden Park.
Nikki Havenaar (31) is of Dutch descent but was born and raised in Japan. He came through the youth academy of Nagoya Grampus, where he also made his professional debut.
In 2016, Havenaar moved to Europe and signed for Austrian side SV Horn. After spells in Switzerland, he returned to Austria in 2023 to join SV Ried. Now, at 31 years old, he makes the move to Union.
