Internationals update (1): Strikers score, Machida and Japan impress
A first update of our internationals! The most notable Union international was Kevin Rodriguez. He scored his first goal for Ecuador deep into added time, securing three important points against Bolivia.
Not only did Rodriguez do well, another Union striker found the back of the net. Mohammed Amoura scored for Algeria in a friendly against Cape Verde (5-0).
Amoura returns to action on Monday against Egypt in a friendly.
Koki Machida won in smooth fashion with Japan against Canada (4-1). Machida played the full 90 minutes and will play another international friendly with the Samurai Blue against Tunisia on Tuesday.
In qualification group J for the European Championship 2024, our goalkeeper Anthony Moris took a hard-fought point (1-1) with Luxembourg against Iceland. Qualification for the European Championship in Germany is still within reach, followed by a capital match against Slovakia on Monday.
Luxembourg is third with 11 points, Slovakia second with 13 points. Group leader Portugal has already qualified for the Euros.

Fedde Leysen did not make an appearance for the Belgian U21 side. The young Devils won 0-2 in Malta to start the European Championship qualifying campaign with 6 points out of 6. On Tuesday, the Belgians travel to Hungary.
Noah Sadiki won with Congo's U21 against Tunisia's U21 (1-2). Noah provided an assist and plays on Monday against the same Tunisia, again in a friendly.
Finally, Loïc Lapoussin lost a friendly against Mauritania 1-2.
