Information on our away game in Liverpool
Over 2,000 Unionists are making this historic trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool FC! There is no official meeting point before the match, which means you can go straight to the away stand. The fanclubs and most of the supporters will meet up at Stanley Park at 5pm. More information below.
Transport to the stadium
Bus
Buses are fast, frequent and convenient, with 'express' services allowing you to get to Anfield from Liverpool city centre in around 15 minutes.
917
The 917 leaves from Commutation Row in the city centre. Prices start from £2.20 for a single journey, £4.40 for a return journey or £12 for a return journey in a group of four. Under-19s can travel for just £1. For more information, click here.
If supporters are using the 917, please note that the pick-up point after the match is different to where they were dropped off (the pick-up point is Walton Lane).
Line 26
From the Liverpool city centre, take line 26 from Liverpool ONE bus station, line 17 from Queen Square bus station, or line 917 from St Johns Lane.
Buses 68 and 168, which run between Bootle and Aigburth, and 14 and 19 (from Queen Square) stop a short walk from the stadium.
Soccerbus
The Soccerbus runs from Sandhills station on the Merseyrail Northern Line to Anfield for all Premier League and cup matches. The Soccerbus runs two hours before each match (the last bus from Sandhills station runs until 15 minutes before kick-off). To find out more, click here.
À pied
It's about a 50-minute walk from the city centre to the football stadium. A taxi costs around 15 euros.
Meeting Point
A 'fan walk' from the city centre to the stadium is not possible. However, should visiting supporters still wish to do a 'fan walk' to the stadium, we have found a more suitable meeting point at the top of Arkles Lane which is close to the Anfield Stadium.
Assembly time is 5pm on match day. At around 5.45pm Merseyside Police will facilitate the march to the stadium. The walk will be approximately 0.5km and will last between 5 and 10 minutes.
Please note that it is not compulsory to do this walk and that you can also walk directly to the visitors' stand.
Entry for away fans
Union supporters must enter the stadium via the R turnstiles, which open at 2 hours before kick-off. Visiting supporters will enter via the R entrances and should approach Anfield Rd from 97 Avenue as there is no access to Anfield Rd from Arkles Lane.
When leaving the stadium at the end of the match, please turn left unless directed otherwise by the stewards.
Please arrive at the stadium early as there will be extensive searching and scanning.
Fans that haven't exchanged their voucher yet
As we have already communicated, you must exchange the voucher you have obtained for an entry ticket. Our Supporters Liaison Officer (SLO) will be on Matthew Street during the day and at the entrance to the away stand after 5pm. He is the one who will be able to exchange your voucher for an actual entrance ticket today.
You can recognise our stewards and SLO thanks to their pink vests.
