Draw against Antwerp at home

This Sunday, the Unionists hosted Antwerp for a home match after their European week.

Union got off to a flying start with a penalty converted by Dennis Eckert Ayensa. 1-0.

 

Thereafter, the match evened out with both sides attacking until the 22nd minute when, despite Moris' save, Sam Vines equalised for Antwerp. 1-1.

 

In the 32nd minute, Dennis hit the post and almost put Union back in front.

 

Just before half-time, in the 43rd minute, Antwerp scored their second goal to make it 1-2.

Antwerp sat back and it was up to Union, to push forward and dictate play in the hope of an equaliser. 

 

After several attacks, Union were awarded a second penalty in the 86th minute! Gustaf Nilsson stepped up to shoot with his left foot and scored. Union equalised. 2-2.
 

The match at the Marien ends in a 2-2 draw and both teams take 1 point in the standings.
