Also in Denmark: Union chances, but no goals
A strong second half against Midtjylland was not crowned. Union got a simple goal to swallow, choking ourselves in front of goal. 1-0 loss and 1 out of 9 points in the Europa League.
Boufal suffered discomfort after the last training session in Denmark. He was left out of the squad. Khalaili started on the right in place of the injured Castro-Montes.
Midtjylland started the match with power football. Moris had to be attentive and after 13 minutes was also important. From close range, the Danish striker's effort whipped out of his cage.
Goal Midtjylland
Five minutes later it was still a hit, we called it somewhat on ourselves. 1-0 through Diao on a corner kick. Union only threatened on the half-hour, a clever combination through Rasmussen and Sadiki stranded Noah who got a push in the box.

Union got better. Sadiki found Fuseini but he missed the one-on-one with goalkeeper Olafsson.
Khalaili twisted and turned in the penalty area but his shot went into the arms of the goalkeeper. And so we went to rest with a deficit. A LASK vibe had this match over the break, the tide had to be turned in the second half.
And that is what the Unionists went for. Rasmussen headed an excellent cross from Khalaili against the post. Immediately afterwards, Olafsson had to save the day for the Danish champs, pushing Machida's header out of goal.
Union boss
Minute 55 and Sadiki popped hard, again within Olafsson's reach. Rodriguez immediately did the same, Union were boss but needed to score.
Then Rasmussen kicked another dropped ball towards goal, but again Olafsson was there. Less than a minute later, Fuseini appeared alone in front of the goalkeeper, but he stumbled. Yes, that's how it really happened.
Union remained the better team, but the real belief to score was missing. And then... you know things will get difficult.
Sans jamais rien lâcher
We fly back to Brussels tonight and prepare for Sunday, when Cercle comes over. More than ever: sans jamais rien lâcher for some Union goals.
