Union wins Belgian Cup

It took a century and ten years for Union to add a third Belgian Cup to their trophy cabinet. A goal from Koki Machida in a gruelling match was enough to clinch the long-awaited title.

As far as the match is concerned, we can be brief. That's how the finals are played. Nerves get the better of us and so does a goal. A lucky goal from Koki Machida from a corner kick.

The Union fought to the bitter end, but held their nerve and treated their fans to a delirious first prize since 1935 and a third cup since the last one in 1914.
