Union to play H. Beer Sheva in Düsseldorf

Union has found a location for its Europa League match against H. Beer Sheva. The game will be played at the Düsseldorf Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany. Unfortunately, the match will have to be played behind closed doors.

After it became clear that we would not be able to play our second home game in the Europa League at our European home venue in Leuven, the club immediately started looking for alternatives. Our preference was to find a stadium close to Brussels where we could welcome our supporters. Unfortunately, for security reasons, the latter was not possible.

The Düsseldorf Arena was ultimately selected as a stadium that allows us to keep the travel distance for our players and staff as short as possible and therefore minimise the impact on them. We are very grateful to the city of Düsseldorf and Fortuna Düsseldorf for welcoming us.
