Union and Moris part ways after five seasons
Promotion, the Cup, the Supercup and the league title. Over five seasons, Anthony Moris lifted four trophies with Union, with the Belgian championship as the crowning achievement. Union Saint-Gilloise thanks Antho for the successes achieved together.
Captain Moris now leaves his Duden Park behind and swaps Belgium for Saudi Arabia, where he joins Al-Khaleej.
232 matches, 81 clean sheets and above all: the league title, the Belgian Cup and a Supercup. Anthony Moris joined from Virton in the summer of 2020 and quickly proved himself as Union’s number 1.
In 2021, he helped secure promotion to the top flight. In 2022, 2023 and 2024, he fought with Union right until the final matchday in pursuit of the title.
After Teddy Teuma’s departure in 2023, he became captain of our Unionists.
In 2024, he lifted the Belgian Cup as captain, our first cup in 110 years.
And on May 25th 2025, after the best Play-off run in history and conceding just three goals in ten matches, he helped crown Union champions of Belgium. Our twelfth title, after 90 years of waiting.
Across three European campaigns, he featured in nearly every European fixture, missing only the home match against Frankfurt and the away leg at Fenerbahçe. Highlights include the Europa League quarter-finals in 2023 and reaching the Round of 16 in 2024.
Thank you, Antho, for always standing tall. For your Union Saint-Gilloise. For being the guardian of your colours, forever yellow and blue. You helped shape the new history of this club.
Unioniste un jour, Unioniste toujours!
