Union also extends Sylla’s contract

Massiré Sylla signs a new contract until June 2031.

Defensive stalwart Massiré Sylla has extended his contract with Union. The 21-year-old Senegalese defender has established himself as the leader of our backline this season, impressing week after week with his defensive versatility. Following Zorgane, Van de Perre, Mac Allister and Rodriguez, he is the latest key player to commit his future to the club.

Sylla joined Union in the winter transfer window of last season from Norwegian second-division side Lyn, where he had spent more than a year. Before that, he had a brief spell at French club Pau FC, who signed him directly from the renowned Senegalese academy Diambars FC.

“

“I’m delighted to be signing a new contract with Union so soon. I’ve been here for ten months now and I feel right at home. Union feels like a family to me, and it’s thanks to this environment that I keep getting stronger every week. I’m ambitious and hope to win every match in every competition together with the team. Knowing that the rest of the squad shares that same winning mentality makes me feel that Union and I are a perfect match.”
