The Union Academy is looking for a Youth Goalkeeper Coach

Job Description

The Goalkeeper Coach will play a key role in delivering and developing the Academy’s goalkeeping programme within an ambitious and professional environment. The successful candidate will work closely with elite youth goalkeepers, supporting their technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality goalkeeper training sessions to elite youth players

- Contribute to the continuous development of the Academy’s goalkeeping programme

- Monitor, evaluate, and track goalkeeper performance and progression

- Participate actively in goalkeeper development meetings and performance reviews

- Support talent identification initiatives and Talent Days in collaboration with the Academy Scouting Department

Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed professional who is eager to contribute to an ambitious academy environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A strong playing and coaching background with recognised expertise in goalkeeper coaching

- Proven experience coaching goalkeepers (experience within an elite academy environment is a strong asset)

- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to reflect, adapt, and continuously improve coaching practices

- The capacity to understand, apply, communicate, and evolve within a clearly defined sporting vision

- UEFA B Goalkeeper Coaching Licence (valid and up to date), or Level 1 / Level 2 Goalkeeping qualification

- Confidence using presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint) to prepare training sessions and deliver presentations

- Ability to conduct and interpret video analysis of goalkeepers

- Flexible working hours aligned with the youth football calendar

- Minimum commitment of three training sessions per week and one weekend match
