Homegrown Youssef Hamoutahar extends his stay at Union
The 20-year-old midfielder extends his contract until June 2029.
After coming through the ranks of the Union youth academy, Youssef Hamoutahar has signed a new contract with the club. Having spent eleven years at Union, the midfielder has now committed his future to the club until June 2029.
Hamoutahar has been part of the Union U23 squad for several years. This season, the team is competing in the ACFF’s First National Division. This weekend, they will face RWDM at the Joseph Marien Stadium. Last season, the attacking midfielder was also part of the squad that competed in the UEFA Youth League, facing the youth teams of, among others, Inter Milan, Atlético Madrid and Olympique Marseille.
Hamoutahar is looking forward to the years ahead: “This season, I want to continue developing with the U23s and knock on the door of the first team. I’m therefore very happy with my new contract and I will keep working just as hard as the club has come to expect from me.”
