De Roeve strengthens Union’s right flank

Union have signed Belgian right-back Denzel De Roeve (22). The youth international joins from Norwegian side Brann SK, where he spent more than a year. Before that, he came through the youth academy at Club Brugge. De Roeve has signed a contract until 2031.

The young Belgian spent one and a half seasons in the Norwegian Eliteserien, which is played during the summer. Last season, he also featured in all of Brann SK’s Europa League matches, as the Norwegian side reached the knockout phase of the competition before being eliminated by Bologna. In 69 official appearances, he scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists. Before that, he made 65 appearances for Club NXT in the Belgian Challenger Pro League.
