Alex Muzio: “David Hubert’s values align with those of Union”

"We’re always prepared, at any moment," begins president Muzio. "David (Hubert) was very high on our list. We had very good conversations at the end of last week, which immediately gave us an excellent feeling."

"We were looking for someone who fits our values, our style of play, and our quality standards. With David, we’ve found someone who matches all three."

The chairman also sees similarities between the football the coach wants to bring and the football Union stands for. “But he will add his own touch, and that’s something we as a board also want to encourage.”

Technical staff

“Of course, this doesn’t automatically guarantee success. We know where we want to go, and together with the coach we’ll write a new chapter on the strong foundations that are already in place.”

The staff will also be further completed in the coming week to compensate for the additional departure of two staff members. “The most important thing for us was to bring in the head coach. Now, as always, we’ll look in our own way and in consultation at which coaches we’ll add to the technical staff.”
