In one of their longest trips away from home this season, Union and the away supporters experienced a game full of twists and turns! After a penalty converted early in the game by Undav (7 ′, 0-1), Union continued to dominate the game with ease. Teddy Teuma scored from the edge of the box to make it 0-2 after the half-hour mark. Union seemed to be having a quiet evening, however, it was premature not to consider the abilities of our opponent’s offensive assaults. Eupen scored 1-2 and increased the pressure quickly to then score an equalizer 2-2. Union had to kick it up a gear as Nielsen’s strike 2-3 was the potential final nail in the coffin for Eupen. After a ten-minute break towards the end of the game due to crowd issues, Union held it together and took away all three points on the road.
It’s nearly match day! This Tuesday, Union will travel to Mechelen in the Belgian Cup for an exciting encounter. Then, on Sunday, October 31st, we will head towards Ghent for matchday 13 of the championship.
