Berlin Travel Information

For the supporters who are traveling for the game against Union Berlin on March 9th at 6:45 p.m., please follow the instructions below.

S-Bahn For supporters of the Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, it is recommended to gather at the recommended meeting point: “Alexanderplatz”.

From there we recommend that you take the Berliner Stadtbahn line S9 from 4 p.m. to the Baumschulenweg S-Bahn station and after a 6-minute wait take the S47 line to the S-Bahn station Spindlersfeld.

Berlin train stations: As a general rule, we recommend that people coming from the city center take the S9 line to the Baumschulenweg station and change to the S47 line to the S-Bahn station.

From Berlin-Südkreuz station, we recommend that you take the southern ring road with line S46 to S-Bahn station Hermannstraße, then change to line S47 to S-Bahnhof Spindlersfeld station. The hourly departure time from Berlin-Südkreuz station is every 12:13 a.m., 12:22 a.m., and 12:53 a.m. respectively.

After the end of the match, the S47 line leaves from the S-Bahn station Spindlersfeld and runs every 20 minutes in the direction of Stadtbahn/Stadtmitte as well as in the direction of Berlin Südkreuz with a change at Schöneweide station in the S9/S46.

Departure times are: 00:09, 00:29 and 00:49.

Bus For coach travellers, limited parking/depot facilities (approximately eight coaches) are available near the stadium.

Car If you are traveling by car, please note that there are no parking possibilities for vehicles near the stadium and at Spindlersfeld station. The free P + R parking spaces at the S-Bahn station Altglienicke can only be used to a very limited extent due to works being carried out there. From there it is possible to continue with the S-Bahn after a change at Baumschulenweg to the S-Bahn station Spindlersfeld, from where you can reach the stadium “An der Alten Försterei” on foot.

Safety Information

No violence ! We act with determination and firmness against violent and violence-prone people in a consistent way! The same applies in the event of violence against property for any inappropriate behavior.

No pyrotechnics! In order not to endanger yourself or other people in the stadium, and to be able to enjoy the match, pyrotechnics are prohibited in the “An der Alten Försterei” and its surroundings. The use of pyrotechnic devices will without exception lead to significant criminal consequences and, if applicable, a stadium ban throughout Germany.

Access to the visiting supporters’ area is controlled by a club security service. In addition, police forces will monitor the entrance. We ask you to plan these checks when you arrive. Checks will be carried out consistently, even if it is foreseeable that you will not arrive at the stadium on time at the start of the match. We count on your understanding, these provisions also serve your safety.

Please note that bags must be handed over before entering the stadium. This may cause delays in entering and leaving the stadium. For this reason, we recommend not bringing bags or leaving them in vehicles/buses to allow faster and smoother entry and exit.

Remember that, for security reasons, the stewards and the police prohibit access to the stadium to visitors with excessive alcohol levels. This also applies to people under the influence of other substances.

For travelers without an entry ticket for the football match between Union Berlin and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise at the “An der Alten Försterei” stadium, no neutral place is available in the vicinity of the stadium to follow the match football on TV. We recommend all fans without a ticket to watch the match around Alexanderplatz.

Glass ban According to the stadium regulations, it is forbidden to bring blunt objects into the stadium and onto the stadium esplanade. For this reason, please do not bring any glass bottles or glasses, also in and around the stadium.
